Discover bouldering

What is bouldering?
It is a climbing discipline where you ascend short routes above crash pads. Climbers do not need ropes or harnesses because their feet rise to a maximum of about 3 metres. These routes are called “problems” because solving them calls for a wide range of skills: technique, strength, balance, flexibility and creativity. Indoor bouldering does not require a partner and can be done solo.
Do I need to be in great shape to try bouldering?
We would say bouldering is an excellent way to get in shape! Problems are set with progressive difficulty so people of every level—from beginners to experts—can progress at their own pace safely. As with any sport, you should respect your personal limits and avoid rushing things to prevent injury. We will be happy to support you on that journey!
What equipment do I need?
Comfortable clothing is all you need! Bring your climbing shoes or simply rent a pair on site at an affordable price.

Visitors & families

What about kids at Café Bloc?
Unfortunately Café Bloc is not ideally suited for children. That said, young climbers are still welcome! Parent/child supervision ratios must be respected and every family member (supervisor and/or climber) must pay the admission fee.

Please note that the supervisor must keep an eye on the child(ren) at all times.

Children 2–7 years old: one supervisor per child and the supervisor cannot climb.
Children 8–12 years old: one supervisor for two children and supervisors may alternate climbing with the kids.
Can I just grab a coffee at Café Bloc?
We position ourselves fully as a climbing centre and want to build a community of climbers first and foremost. If many people came in only for coffee, the lounge area would no longer be available for climbers. As a result, everyone—climbers or not—must pay the admission fee. Members with subscriptions can come as often as they like, to climb or simply relax.

Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept card payments only: debit, credit and American Express. EFT memberships (automatic withdrawals) must be paid with a credit card.
Do you have treatment rooms?
Because athletes are constantly exposed to muscular tension, injuries and more, we chose to include two treatment rooms in our facility. You can book appointments and receive care on site from our therapists (osteopaths, massage therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionist). Visit the “treatment rooms” section of our website for details.
